Scholarships available to Study abroad

Studying abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, as well as gain a global perspective on the world. However, the cost of studying abroad can be a significant barrier for many students. Fortunately, there are a variety of scholarships available to study abroad and help you offset the expenses. Here are a few recently launched scholarships for students looking to study abroad in 2023: 

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship: 

This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding and wish to study abroad. The scholarship provides up to $5,000 to help cover the cost of tuition, room and board, as well as other expenses.

The Critical Language Scholarship Program:

This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students. If you are planning to study critical need languages abroad, including Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and many others this is a perfect fit for you. The scholarship provides funding for a fully-funded, eight to ten-week summer language program.

The Freeman-ASIA Award:

This scholarship is open to undergraduate students from underrepresented group planning to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. The scholarship provides up to $3,000 towards the cost of studying abroad.

The Erasmus+:

This scholarship is open to students, trainees, teachers and youth workers who want to study, work, volunteer, teach or train in Europe. It’s one of the most popular scholarship programs in Europe and covers the cost of accommodation, travel and other expenses.

The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP):

This scholarship is open to students from Commonwealth countries looking to study in other Commonwealth countries. It provides funding for tuition fees, a maintenance allowance, as well as airfare to and from the Country. It also provides additional benefits such as pre-departure briefing and help with settling in the Country Covered within the Commonwealth Countries.

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships:

The scholarships are available to students from non-EU countries who wish to pursue full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Ireland. The scholarship covers tuition fees and provides a stipend to cover living expenses. Also, the award amount varies depending on the duration of the program and the level of study.

Remember that the most important thing is to do your research and apply for scholarships that align with your interests and goals. Many scholarships have specific criteria and are only available to students in certain fields of study or from certain countries, so be sure to read the application guidelines carefully.
